EEK! There’s a horde of L96A1’s heading my way!

In MemphianMotion, Ranting on November 27, 2010 at 10:11 pm

Black Ops. – the hit game of all eternity selling for $360,000,000 in a very small amount of time.
Call of Duty – the largest game franchise in the world.

What happens when you put these two together?
You get Call of Duty Black. Ops.

With Call of Duty Black Ops. comes a theater mode, and even a way to render 30 second long clips that go directly on to your YouTube account. What relevance does this statement have you ask?

Well, this new ability opens up a huge window for people to go for that dream of being a YouTube star. Of course, I have my own way of putting up videos on YouTube, such as with an actual camera, so I don’t take part in this dream. I also just don’t find it that interesting. COULD be a huge factor in all this.

But why does all this make me mad enough to get on a blog that I haven’t been on in about 4 months?

Because my friends got involved.

Before Black Ops. came out I only had one friend that had that dream to be YouTube famous, but now there’s a small horde of people that I personally know having fun with this.

This wouldn’t really upset me usually, but since a quarter of my friends list on XBOX Live is grouping together and all renaming their gamertags (usernames, screenames, etc.) after their most favoritest gun in that game – the L96A1 -, I have grown a little infuriated. Infuriated enough, in fact, to actually go out and be a sardonic little jerk about it and show them how intelligent they look to me.

That’s right, it’s time for another video.

Look out L96A1 fanboys, Memphian Motion is coming.

Aardvark takes the cake

In Victories on July 4, 2010 at 3:30 am

I had a question, the question itself isn’t important, but I needed it answered. So I went to Yahoo Answers to get it answered. Of course I was disappointed because within an hour I had 0 answers. I then went to a forum, which I thought would help. I asked my question and no answer within two hours. Finally I remembered that I had an account over at Aardvark. So I went there, asked my question and within ten minutes I had an answer. So now my problem is solved and I am attempting to wipe Yahoo! Answers out of my mind and make sure I remember Aardvark as my primary source for answering questions.

I swear… my name is Garrett, not Derrick

In Ranting on June 24, 2010 at 2:35 pm

I just hate it when I tell someone that my name is Garrett, emphazing the G and the ‘Guh’ sound it makes and then they turn around and say Derrick. I don’t hate the name Derrick, I’m not prejudice, I just get angry that people do that. It makes me want to just say ‘CHARLIE MURPHY, what do the five fingers say to the face? SLAP! haha!’ No wait I have a better one, I just want to Falcon Punch someone in the face, and then when they’re down throw out a Falcon Kick. Gosh I’m awesome…

The Modern Family

In Apple (Inc.) on June 23, 2010 at 4:08 pm

I figured out the kind of family I’m going to have once I hit it big and I have so much money I don’t know what to do with it. It’s all going into Apple products. I figure by then there will be iPods, iPhones, iPads, iMacs, MacBooks, iCamera, iStove, iOven, iTV, iTablecloth, and every other riciculous thing you can thing of.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!!!

In Sportsy Stuff, Victories on June 23, 2010 at 4:04 pm

USA just scored a goal in stoppage time to beat Algeria and win Group C, thus advancing to the next round. They’ll play the runner-up of Group D. Now let’s see if I can completely tip-toe around the game.

See I was reading a nice article about three million iPads being sold in the first 80 days, and then suddenly the room completely erupts in a frenzy of man screams. Naturally I was shocked and appaled. So I wasn’t really cheering for the goal because I was in complete shock.

I bet that goalie is going to get the highest punishment there is in Algeria which I guess is something ridiculous like… being pineappled. It’s like being stoned, but you just get pineapple thrown at you for about 2 hours.

Finally USA did something big in sports that wasn’t basketball.

One goal? Really? We won the group, we should be so good that we beat teams by like three goals. I wouldn’t be too mad about the one goal win if it wasn’t in stoppage. STOPPAGE.

In all seriousness, I’m happy that America won their group. I look forward to watching them in the next round.

New iOS4 update for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

In Apple (Inc.) on June 22, 2010 at 2:35 pm

Yesterday, June 21, Apple released iOS4, a software update for iPhones and iPod Touches. However, it is only compatible with the second and third generation iPod Touches, and only the iPhone 3GS. I have an iPod Touch (2nd generation) and I must say, Apple did not disappoint. The main features that are new are the abilities to multi-task, make folders, and change your home screen wallpaper, well at least that’s what important to me. I am dissappointed by the fact that only 3rd generation iPod Touches and iPhone 3GS can use multitasking and the custom wall paper. I did however get the folders and I went from having five pages of apps to one screen of them. It does look very lonely though, so I’m going to get into more detail with my folders, rather than just ‘Games’ and ‘Non-Games’. Also new in this update is the iBooks app, which is good because I can read my summer reading book for free now, a unified mailbox, and a spell checker (yes that does mean you get that little red line now). Needless to say, I’m a little disappointed as a 2nd generation iPod Touch owner, but my iPod is running smoothly, my most used app (FaceBook) is now running significantly smoother. Plus my YouTube app is functioning like it should be.

Once you download the software, you’ll be able to see the difference. Apple has done a great job and I hope that they include the 2nd generation in the next software update, ’cause it doesn’t look like I’mmoving on from my iPod Touch.

Miami Dolphins

In Ranting, Sportsy Stuff on June 21, 2010 at 4:58 pm

Ok so let’s get one thing straight, the Miami Dolphins are the best team in sports ever created.

  • We’re the only team that ever went through a season undefeated. Don’t go complaining about how it was a seventeen game season including the playoffs, a completely undefeated season is nearly impossible.
  • Dan Marino, ’nuff said about that.
  • We are going to win every championship in every sport. That includes: NBA Finals, World Series, Super Bowl, U.S. Open, Tour De France, World Cup, Stanely Cup, plus the championships for rugby, tennis, lacrosse, and cricket. That’s just a small list.
  • We’re the freakin’ Dolphins, the smartest animal that ever lived.

Ok I’m tired of reading what I type about the single greatest franchise that was ever created. I think you get the picture that I am so lazy I pick one team to dominate every sport.

The typing was awful… but it’s done.

In Ranting, Victories on June 21, 2010 at 4:49 pm

I just finished my typing program a couple hours ago, and I just have to go and rant about this, but it was worse than the program I did back at my old school for three years in a row. It took me a long time to realize that you had to hit ‘TAB’ to indent, and that you had to use two spaces after each period. If you make too many mistakes on certain aspects of the program, you have to start over. Now because all I do is win, that hardly ever happened to me. But on days like today where my hands are cold and numb, there was plenty of screwing up. I almost threw the keyboard into the monitor, most people would say wall, but I don’t know if my weakling arms could make it to the wall… that’s about two feet away. Anyways, I’m ranting about my own victory, so it qualifies for both the Ranting and the Victories category.

I’m out,
